This is the segment, reportedly growing in size and level of frustration, who have logically accepted the time is right for them to move into a Retirement Village or Aged Care facility, but are reluctant to do so for a combination of financial and logistical reasons. Leading retirement village developer Living Choice expands to Adelaide

Living Choice, leaders in luxury retirement living for the over 55’s, today announced plans for an $80-million retirement village at Fisher Street in the prestigious suburb of Fullarton. The application for 190 one and two-bedroom Supported Living apartments, a luxury leisure centre and bowling green was lodged with Unley City Council on Monday this week. Living Choice director Ian Tregoning said the village would enhance Fullarton’s reputation as an upmarket haven for retirees and was in keeping with the Council’s vision to preserve Unley’s charm and character and create sustainable and safe environments for its residents. RVA APPOINTS NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
The Retirement Villages Association (RVA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Andrew Giles as its Chief Executive Officer. Andrew joins the RVA from MacroPlan Australia where he was Victorian State Director and General Manager of the Communities and Research Group.
RVA President Simon Owen said he was extremely excited by the appointment of Mr Giles as CEO. ”Andrew brings with him first hand knowledge of the retirement village industry through his previous roles. He also has extensive experience with demographic profiling, planning, land and property economics, marketing and government advocacy which will be of tremendous value to the RVA and our membership”.
